Event Details

Penitent pilgrims for 1,000 years have been hiking northern Spain's 500 mile Camino de Santiago seeking Apostle St. James' bones buried at Santiago de Compestela Cathedral. Although the number of Santiago-bound peregrinos (pilgrims) drastically dropped off after the Reformation, renewed worldwide interest in the Camino is steadily growing with almost 280,000 completing the journey in 2016. Librarian Mike Key spent 33 days in 2013 hiking the Camino reaching St. James' bones, October 13. Mike presents his story in word, song, and images.
