Coping With Grief During the Holidays

6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Meeting Room C1 (Half Community Room)

Event Details

This program focuses on grief/loss during the holiday season, which can be an especially lonely time as it tends to bring up feelings and memories from childhood.  This talk will normalize the dread and anxiety individuals and families may feel as they approach the first holiday season without their loved one.  Suggestions for possible coping methods and rituals will also be shared.

Mary McKenzie, ACSW, ACHP-SW, has been a grief counselor with the Bluegrass Care Navigators for nineteen years.  She also holds several Holiday Grief Workshops each December at the Cynthiana Office.
